Saphona, look out! Diondra reached for her sister, her eyes widening as the tiger shark arrowed toward them.
Saphona let her sisters take her down into the tight insides of the pearly pink clam, and then watched as the shark made a sharp turn when its prey disappeared.
That was close. Kaia whispered, her small form shaking in fear for Saphona.
Kaia was the youngest of the three ocean sisters, with Diondra the eldest.
They had been searching for crabs for dinner before a pod of harried bottlenose dolphins sped past with their warning calls sounding. It hadn't taken long before the shark appeared.
