BE YOURSELF

We all have plenty of artists we admire. It's not unusual to see ourselves staring at a wonderful piece of art and thinking "I wish I could create art just like this artist...!". I sometimes find myself admiring some artworks so much, that I feel inclined to create something similar. But that never ends in anything good. It only leads me to frustration and failure - because I can't be someone else. I can't create art like another artist. I am myself, therefore, my art should represent myself, my feelings, my emotions - not somebody else's.
