To start off with, I think that this is a lovely example of the artist's creative and unique style. It expresses a lot of emotions and ideas, with a variety of colours, shapes and small details. There is a nice flowing sense from the way that the hair is designed, although I feel that maybe the red dots needed some more blurring or other colours or to be another shape. The black lines throughout the bottom half of the picture lend it a vintage feel, as do the little patterns in the abstract flowers. My favourite part of the picture, is the face, where the eyes and expression jump out at you, and you smile to see the girl smile. I particularly like the way the blue eyes contrast with the other colours used in the picture, and the way the hair frames the face in soft waves. The shading off the skin on the face matches the colours being reflected throughout the picture and gives an accurate sense of the colours being present in the skin. Some small points for possible improvement include the right shoulder being a little too pointy in comparison with the left, the white streaks on the left part of the dress (the shadow just doesnt seem to come out quite right) and again, perhaps some additonal detail or more colours in the hair. Overall, a highly successful and creative artwork.
